Chinoiserie Tole tray from Victorian period.1880s. Very large black wooden tray with gold gilt design of lake, boat scene and a serpentine edge. Tole- a lacquered regency tray used for serving drinks. Originally would have come with a base of folding legs. This tray top can be used to hang on wall as decorative art. What a powerful talking piece. Beautiful design and craft. Stunning!
